The Community Life Committee works to improve the quality of life for the members of Adat Shalom Reconstructionist Congregation by stimulating connections between, and involvement by, members of the community, fostering a shared identity among congregants, matching volunteers to needs within programs and committees, and identifying opportunities to strengthen a sense of community.
Many different groups within Adat Shalom shelter under the Community Life umbrella. These include specific Community Life projects such as the Cookbook, recurring events such as scheduling and recruiting volunteers for In-home Potluck Suppers, and supporting other standing committees such as Village Captains. In general, if it involves social activities, we get involved!
You can volunteer to help on a specific task, like phone calling or opening your house for a pot-luck supper, or you can join one of the on-going committees. Were also the group to contact if you have an idea for a potential activity, and youd like to find out who else might want to be involved or how to get it started.
