Dear Adat Shalomer,

Get ready to celebrate this anniversary year in style at our 18th Annual Retreat - Na'aseh V'nishma, We will Do and We will Understand. The theme and program will help us face new challenges and opportunities, grow together, and enjoy a new retreat location for our Chai year. June 9-11. Send your registration now! Reserve early for your pick of accommodations.

We will be in an exciting new place: Capital Camps and Retreat Center in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania -- just over the Maryland border, a 90-minute drive. This year's retreat program will allow us to fully enjoy this truly spectacular site, using it to draw closer to one another and to our tradition. The newly-renovated Capital Camps offers many advantages:

This year's retreat theme draws on Exodus and Martin Buber, Abraham and Sarah and Soren Kierkegaard, Isaiah and Deborah and Broadway's RENT. We'll sing, pray, play, plan, learn, meditate, eat, dance, and schmooze together. The schedule also features plenty of free and semi-structured time, with opportunities to get to know each other in a deeper way than we can during the year. Some specific highlights include:

Retreats last just 2 days a year, but they help define us as a community. To encourage more people to join us, this year we've lowered costs for new members, first-time attendees, and kids & families (see the registration form for a range of options, including tenting for fun and frugality). There's no better way to get to know folks, and to feel at home in community.

L'shalom, Rabbi Fred Scherlinder Dobb
