Being an integral part of the Adat Shalom Torah School is an honor. As a community of learners and creators we are moving forward together to build a strong and unique Torah School. The work is constant; the labor of love tremendous and together with an dedicated Torah School Board and Adat Shalom staff, we can continue to give our community the best we have to offer.
Next year will include some modest changes. As we move forward, we hope that our partnership will continue to prosper for our school and congregation. As we grow, we anticipate benefitting from the wisdom our members (both Torah School families and others). We need you! We ask that people with special skills step up to the plate and offer their knowledge and guidance to make our Torah School a success.
What do we need from the larger Adat Shalom family including parents, grandparents, friends and acquaintances? Our hope is that Adat Shalomers will contribute to our school program through educating our teachers in professional development classes, mentoring students who need help with Hebrew reading through our Chaverim B—Telephone (Friends on the telephone) Mentoring program, teaching mini-sessions for the students in areas of art, Hebrew, drama, music, etc. Our community is multi-talented and we hope that some of you will offer your services.
What will be happening next year?
Adat Shalom Torah School is flying and we believe there will be something for everyone. Our school is your school; let us know what you can do to help make it soar!
As the proverb goes: It takes a village to raise a child. We need our Adat Shalom village to support the raising of all of our children. Our program becomes more ambitious next year, with the new challenges and opportunities this will bring. We look forward to an exciting year of growth next year.
