TASTE OF SHABBAT: Dine, Dessert, & Daven!!
Welcome Shabbat with the Adat Shalom community at
our lively monthly Friday night celebration
Join us for our 6th season
beginning October 19, 2007 and continuing monthly through May
2008
First, Dine!
Taste of Shabbat begins at 6:45
p.m.* with rituals to prepare for & welcome Shabbat: candlelighting,
Kiddush, handwashing, & motzi, followed by a delicious, catered
fish/vegetarian dinner. Bring your own wine, if you like! ( Or,
you can
bring your own dinner--subject to our oneg regulations, of course--call
and leave message on the Taste of Shabbat line as to the number
attending so we can set enough places.)
Advance reservations and payment required for the catered meal. Only
$15 per person (and free for children under 12). (Click here to make Reservations and
Payment). In observance of Shabbat, money is not accepted at the
door.
Next, Dessert and Singing for All! All are invited to join us at 7:45 p.m.* for dessert with singing and learning. This pre-service dessert requires NO reservation or payment. (Of course, neither do the services)
Then, Daven! All are welcome to join us at 8:15 p.m.* for our wonderfully musical services that engage both mind & spirit, led by Hazzan Rachel Hersh Epstein and our fabulous Taste of Shabbat band; Services will include Rabbi Fred or guest clergy, speakers, and musicians.
