The Yesodot HaLimud Program is an 18 month adult learning program that will offer the opportunity to develop a comfort level with basic Jewish living and learning. The program will meet twice each month and the material will include TaNaKh (Hebrew Bible) and history, prayer, Hebrew, Jewish daily practice and group work to integrate our learning with our larger life experiences. It will provide meaningful context for the many details of Jewish history and practice. While it is much more than an adult bar/bat Mitzvah class, at the program's conclusion, participants will join in a public celebration of their learning at an Adat Shalom Shabbat service in May, 2013. The program is fully subscribed and is not open to new participants, however there is another group in formation to begin, winter 2014.
