Celebrating Shabbat at Adat Shalom is the focal point of our communal experience.   We observe Shabbat in several different ways.

Kabbalat Shabbat/Welcoming Shabbat – Friday Evenings

Occasionally throughout the year, we welcome Shabbat on Friday night. On these evenings, we may join together at a Pot-Luck Kabbalat Shabbat; gather for a catered Taste of Shabbat dinner; or kick-off a weekend of learning with a catered Shabbaton dinner.  Our meal is always followed by services, song and study. Read more about our Friday night Shabbat services here.

Saturday Morning Shabbat Services

Saturday morning services are the highlight of our week. Every Saturday morning, the Adat Shalom community gathers to worship, sing, study and eat together.  We also celebrate simchas/happy occasions – b’nai mitzvahs, baby namings, aufrufs, and other lifecycle milestones. Following services, we have a festive oneg with food provided by synagogue members.  Read more about our Saturday morning services here.

Visitors are always welcome at Adat Shalom. You can read our Visitor Guide here.
