The Tikkun Ha’Ir (Repairing the City) Program

Now in its second year, the Tikkun Ha’Ir (Repairing the City) Program, focuses on issues surrounding hunger and homelessness in Washington, D.C. It is an immersive and thought-provoking service learning mission/experience specifically designed for middle and high school students. Though it is impossible to simulate what it is like to worry constantly about your next meal or where you will lay down your head at night, Tikkun Ha’Ir seeks to have participants experience, rather than just discuss, these issues.
