Chords of Glory, and inclusive program for middle and high school students (6th-12th grades) in the Greater Washington, DC area – and not exclusively from Adat Shalom.
The group meets weekly for 2-hour meetings in a workshop setting, during which participants work on a variety of songs, scenes from musical theater, and other offerings. Once a repertoire is set, the group travels to and performs at area senior centers, shelters, group homes, rehab facilities and other venues.
Meetings are held on Sundays from 3:15 PM – 5:15 PM, mid-September through mid-June, at Adat Shalom Reconstructionist Congregation: 7727 Persimmon Tree Lane, Bethesda, MD.
Every effort will be made to schedule performances during the workshop hours.
There is a fee of $350.00 per year per student to participate on this program (scholarships are available).
Please contact Pam Sommers, Project Director, Chords of Glory: Performance with a Purpose, for meeting schedule and additional information. Pam’s email is email@example.com.
