Adat Shalom is currently experiencing a power outage cause by a down electrical transmitter in our neighborhood. Because of the power outage, we are closed for the rest of the day. Note, if you need to get in touch with staff, we are still available via email.
Minyan Pashut is an informal, participatory, lay-led Reconstructionist service, with a dash of Havurah Movement flavor, held more or less every other month concurrently with the main service in the sanctuary. We’re do a bit less talking or explaining and focus more on mindfully experiencing the prayers; singing them; “flowing” into them. A volunteer presents intellectually penetrating comments (Divrei Torah) on the weekly portion, which stimulate an in-depth conversation to explore the topics raised. We wrap up with a “bissel schnapps” and then join the rest of the community for the Oneg lunch.
