Shabbat

Shabbat

“More than Israel has kept the Sabbath, the Sabbath has kept Israel.”  (Ahad Ha-Am, circa 1900 — cultural Zionist, and major influence on Reconstructionist founder Mordecai Kaplan)

Saturday morning is the focal point of our communal experience.  Visitors are always welcome at Adat Shalom.

Alongside our youth education program, our many religious services offer prayer and reflection, song and study and spirit, connections between Torah and contemporary realities, life-cycle celebrations, and more.  Afterward, all generations enjoy our signature, member-driven, communal oneg Shabbat luncheon, and afternoon opportunities to learn and connect.

For family and friends visiting Adat Shalom, we offer guest login for our Shabbat Services.  Please contact our office via email at marcie.wilson@adatshalom.net or call us at (301) 767-3333 by 12:00 noon on Friday for guest login.
